Spectrum went viral in 2015 with the launch of its Instagrammable, themed makeup brushes.

Avant PR was initially brought on board to curate the launch of Spectrum’s iconic Glam Clam makeup brush set, and was tasked with creating explosive press and influencer campaigns alongside events for further launches including the brand’s Marbleous and Bridal sets, and its collaboration with Paramount’s Mean Girls.

What We Did

The agency curated several events attended by press, celebrities and influencers, as well as working across product placement in top tier media, with Spectrum featuring regularly in publications such as Stylist, Grazia, Hello and Sunday Times Style. Avant also assisted on influencer partnerships which saw the brand align with stars including Lucy Watson, Olivia Bowen and Kady McDermott.

Following Spectrum’s initial campaign, the brand saw a 2,400% increase on its first year of trading, announced a seven figure turnover for the first time since its launch in 2013, and boasted regular waiting lists for products that were restocked monthly from launch in 2015.
