Coachella perennially kicks off festival season and in turns paves the way for style muses to inform our wardrobes ahead of Glastonbury, Parklife, Bestival, Wireless and beyond. While many of the style staples stay the same – think flat ankle boots and bohemian floral dresses – expect to see some new versions of the classics this year with younger stars such as Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner stepping up to the plate.
Thanks to the great music and amazing weather, the festival pulls in a lot of celebrities. There a few regulars who come back every year: the King and Queen of Coachella, Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, Vanessa Hudgens (the boho babe) and Alexa Chung who nails her festival look every single time (yes we’re green with envy in the office.) Now only a week away, Coachella has assumed the position as one of the world’s most notable catwalks. Every media outlet in the world stops and takes notice (we’re quietly smug here at Avant HQ that we can class Coachella style stalking as work) and although the fields of Britain may not typically enjoy the sunnier climates, there is still plenty to take away from the outfits on show.
Millie Mackintosh’s latest Instagram post reminded us that a lot goes into Coachella packing. With this in mind, we’ve delved into the archives to bring you some of our all-time favourites and the sartorial rules to remember. From Kendall Jenner’s flares in 2014 to Kate Bosworth’s denim cut-offs in 2010, we chart out 10 best looks from Coachella’s past:
We can’t wait to see what Coachella 2016 brings!
