Our Top Five Ancoats Spots

It’s been a couple of years since Avant moved into its HQ in Ancoats, and we’ve seen the area grow hugely in popularity since – with new apartments being built, as well as coffee shops, restaurants and bars opening up, there’s now a distinct buzz about the place. We’ve rounded up our favourite spots for eating, drinking and socialising, that are well worth a visit.

The much-loved bakery recently moved into its new home at Cotton Field Wharf, and their fresh loaves and cakes are well worth the inevitable queues.

Cutting Room Square eatery Elnecot specialises in tasty small plates, and does a mean Sunday roast.

The Jane Eyre

Seven Brothers

From the family behind Seven Brothers Brewery, the Blossom Street beer house is the perfect venue for chilled after work drinks.

Whilst not a new addition locally, no Ancoats round-up would be complete without mentioning Rudy’s. You may have to wait for a table but the perfect Neapolitan pizza and amazing cocktail menu make the experience truly worth it.
