Friday Favourites: 15th September 2017

Grub Manchester

Ellen Kelly, Director and Co-Founder

Last weekend I headed to Grub to fend off my Saturday night hangover. I’d been to Grub a couple of times before, but this was my first time at their Plant Powered Sundays, and it didn’t disappoint.

In case you’re not familiar, Grub is essentially an outdoor food fair (with covered seating area) with street food vendors that change on a weekly basis. Last Sunday it played host to the likes of ItalFresh, The Dilla Deli, Wrapture and ChouChoux, all serving up yummy vegan food that certainly soothed my hangover. We opted for roasted vegetable quesadillas to start, followed by ItalFresh’s famous deep fried cauliflower ‘wings’ – hands down a new favourite for me!

Grub is on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Mayfield Depot (behind Piccadilly Station).

LaRedoute coffee table

Jazmin Cabrera, Director and Co-Founder

My Friday favourite this week has to go to my La Redoute coffee table, which I have been coveting for the longest time and finally got my hands on earlier this week.

Despite having moved in to our house almost a year ago, we’re only just getting around to working on the final touches in the living room (in our defence, we did renovate the whole house!) and a coffee table was one of the last pieces we needed. The La Redoute style was the one we kept coming back to and so as soon as I noted they had a 25% discount across everything on the site (which is still on, by the way!), I found myself (finally!) clicking ‘add to basket’. You can imagine my dismay when, after ordering, it stated there was a seven-week wait, but after just three it was finally delivered and now sits prettily in our living room (that isn’t ours in the picture above, by the way!).

I could not be happier with it and now just need to hit up Pinterest for ‘ways to style a coffee table’ (we all do it, right?) and Amazon for some pretty coffee table books. Any suggestions, you know where I am!
