With temperatures on the rise (fingers crossed for a sunny bank holiday weekend!) it’s time to start incorporating some of the new season’s most wearable trends into our summer wardrobes. Here are the key pieces we’ll be buying to see us through spring and summer.
The naked sandal
Less is more when it comes to footwear this summer, with minimal, strappy styles favoured by Instagram’s fashion set, giving a nod to the 90s and early 00s.
The slip skirt
Opt for muted or jewel tones in this style, and team with a basic tee and trainers for the ultimate in effortless summer styling.
Gone are the days of super-skinny white jeans – this season’s cuts are wide legged or just above the ankle. Dress them up or down with a tee or blouse, with trainers or sandals.
The midi dress
You can’t go wrong with a midi dress, whether it’s plain or printed, short or long sleeved, high neck or shirt style. Team with trainers and you’ve got fashion’s go-to summer uniform.
The wicker bag
Millennial-loved brand Cult Gaia made the wicker bag a thing, but the high street is now awash with lookalikes whatever your budget. Invest in one that’ll see you through summer lunch dates, BBQs and trips to the beach.
