Over the weekend we celebrated seven years of Avant PR and although it was strange not being together as a team to toast the occasion, we definitely have plans to do so once lockdown is lifted and we are able to be together again. As we virtually celebrated, we got chatting about about everything we have done since the company launched in 2013 and we thought we’d round up seven of our favourite moments so far (if we were to list them all, we’d be here until our 8th birthday!):
Working with In The Style on their celebrity campaigns
We worked with In The Style for many years, on celebrity collaborations with stars including Lauren Pope, Charlotte Crosby, Binky Felstead, Billie Faiers, Dani Dyer and Emily Atack, and had a great time doing so! From busy press days co-ordinating seven hours of back-to-back interviews, to helping to organise and run launch parties for up to 300 people, it was hard but exciting work – and we find that’s the best type!
We initially started working with makeup brand Spectrum when curating a party for their Glam Clam launch – and continued on with a press campaign and further events after that, including full page features in Look magazine, profiles on Founders Sophie and Hannah, a launch party for the Spectrum x Mean Girls collaboration and much, much more. The team were great to work with and the product fabulous – a winning combination.
Working with Ego
We worked with footwear brand Ego for a number of years, launching the brand to press and organising a first birthday party, a collaboration with influencer Nyane Lebajoa and much more. We really enjoyed shouting about the brand to press, who loved what they had to offer, and using our creativity to co-ordinate campaigns for them.
Launching our Entertainment division
We launched our entertainment division by signing Hollyoaks stars Jazmine Franks and Sarah Jayne Dunn, to work on their personal PR. From organising a link up with Cancer Research for Jazz, whose mum had beat the disease, to shooting with S magazine for a look at Sarah’s wardrobe, and organising social media collaborations for both, the campaigns were varied and both ladies the sweetest. It was a pleasure to work with each of them.
Learning about allergies and intolerances with Lifelab Testing
Our press campaign with at-home allergy and intolerance testing kit Lifelab Testing ensured we had a serious lesson in all things allergies and intolerances and we felt we came away from it with a lot more knowledge around the subject (including our own intolerances!) It was thrilling to work alongside a team that was so passionate about what they do and as knowledgable as they were about all things related to their field.
Shouting about The Cheeky Panda
In a similar vein, we’ve been working with The Cheeky Panda for a while now and are every day learning more and more about their bamboo tissue alternatives and the impact tissue has on the world around us. We’re really proud to work with a brand like The Cheeky Panda, who are doing some real good in the world and are making a real difference. The press love it, too, with coverage going from strength to strength as journalists learn about the benefits of bamboo tissue alternatives.
Although we’re only at the very start of the campaign, we just know that we’re going to love working with new sustainable fashion brand nu-in. A brand that puts the environment at the forefront of every decision it makes and process it implements, we love everything the brand stands for – and it helps that the collection is perfection, too.
