AW17: THE HIGH STREET’S BEST RED PIECES

As Melissa mentioned in her AW17 trends post, red is set to be one of next season’s most popular colours, having been spotted on almost every catwalk – and we’re not just talking a flash of scarlet here and there, we’re talking head-to-toe looks. With that in mind, I felt it only right to round up the best red pieces on the high street – there are some great bits to be had already and the season is only just beginning, so I can’t wait to see what else hits the shelves!

Coat: Zara – £119, dress: Zara, £59.99, bag: Zara, £39.99

There isn’t a bad word to be said about any of these products – the coat is an easy way to make a statement, while the dress is perfect for work or play and the bag can be thrown on over jeans and a jumper, worn with an LBD or used to finish off that aforementioned head-to-toe red outfit.

 Coat: Mango – £119.99, trousers: Mango – £49.99, shoes: ASOS – £26.99

I have to begin with the coat – doesn’t it make you just want to snuggle up on it?! It almost makes me long for snow! The trousers are way up top on my payday shopping list, and although I’m not a big fan of the kitten heel personally, it is a key look for AW17, meaning these shoes tick two trend boxes!

Jacket: Mango – £89.99, jumper: Mango – £17.99, boots: New Look – £59.99

These New Look boots are another item that are way up high on my payday shopping list, and the Mango jumper has just made its way on to there, too, meaning that I think I have my head-toe red outfit! Influencer Hannah Gale often sports a red biker on her Instagram and this jacket is the perfect way to steal her style.

Earrings: Zara – £9.99, jumper: H&M – £39.99, boots: Zara – £69.99

At under £10 (just!) it would be rude not to snap up these statement earrings (another huge AW17 trend!), while the jumper and boots are more items making me long for Winter, and with the weather we’ve been having recently, I don’t think it’s too far away! Bring on AW17 and all of its trends – especially this one.
