Despite more and more people looking to make swaps in their everyday lives to reduce their environmental impact, plastic waste remains a huge problem, with 79% of plastic currently ending up in landfill or the wider environment, and only 9% being recycled. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we are working with Reswirl, pioneers of the world’s first zero waste toothbrush.
We’ll be working with Reswirl to manage the press campaign around the launch of its ‘infinite toothbrush’, and its ongoing Kickstarter campaign as the brand looks to raise funds to progress the product’s tooling and marketing.
Reswirl will revolutionise the way in which toothbrushes are disposed of, with an ‘infinite’ design that is biodegradable and creates a circular system. Working via a quarterly subscription service, the brand will urge customers to return their old brushes to Reswirl, using pre-paid biodegradable packaging, to be cleaned, pulverized and recycled into new brushes, avoiding plastic waste and reducing the environmental impact of standard disposable toothbrushes.
With increasing focus in the press and influencer sphere on sustainability, we’re excited to be a part of an innovative solution to the huge problem of non-recyclable toothbrushes ending up in landfill.
Reswirl is seeking £10,000 through its Kickstarter campaign, which runs until later this month – you can find out more about their campaign, or pledge here.
